Among the many varying World Peace related gatherings hosted at the Shrine, we are most excited about the peoples of Lethbridge playing a pivotal role in the establishing of an Internationally Recognized "World Peace Day", on the First Day of Each Month.

Can you imagine the implications?!

The first official World Peace Day was celebrated on October 1st, 2023, just a few days after the "International Day of Peace", which is celebrated around the world on the 21st of September, and was first established in 1981.

On this day, everyone is invited to celebrate World Peace Day at the Shrine, and or anywhere you are drawn to.

These will be all day gatherings, with emphasis going towards coming together 2 hours before Sunset, with a silent meditation during last 15 minutes of Sunset.

Let's gather and share our appreciation for all that is Nature,
Community, and a Planetary Culture of Peace.

Imagine...
Silent prayer walks, peace dialogues and the sharing of ideas,
drum circles and sound bowls, guitars, flutes, and chimes,
singing, dancing, spoken word, works-shops, public art creation,
rock collecting and painting, and the sound of children laughing and playing.

In support of #MonthlyWorldPeaceDay, the World Peace Shrine also launched the #WorldPeaceArtChallenge, which invites everyone in the World to create some form of Art, devoted to World Peace.

This may look like a painting, photography, a poem, a song, or any form of artistic expression. We invite and encourage you to showcase your #WorldPeaceArt at the Shrine, for inspiring Peace within y-our local and planetary community.

Everyone is invited to join in celebration and prayer for all major astrological, solar, and lunar events, such a full-moons, new-moons, solstice, equinox, eclipses, etc.

* All events are free. (Donations are welcome, and honoured, and will go towards supporting the Shrine, as well as a variety of Local & Global Humanitarian Initiatives. (coming soon)
